LAKE DENOON LAKE DISTRICT
MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Held on Wednesday, June 5, 2019
At Coach’s On the Lake, Muskego, Wisconsin
ROLL CALL: The following Commissioners were present: Jerry Jones, Katherine Schauer, Tim Laseke, and Kevin Kubacki. Not attending was Keith Hammit.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: A motion was made by Commissioner Jones, seconded by Commissioner Laseke, and passed unanimously to approve the 2/27/2019 meeting minutes.
FINANCIAL UPDATE:
Previous Balance -$18,336.95
Income (Association Fees) - $4,140.00
DNR Weed Permit Expenses - ($1270.00)
Misc. Expense (assessment overage) - ($220,00)
Aron and Associate - Consultant - ($531.32)
New Balance - $20,455.65
SONAR UPDATE: Our vendor, Marine Biochemists applied the Sonar product on Monday, June 3. We are using a pellet formulation so the active chemical will release slowly and will not be at full strength for several weeks. It will be several weeks after that before we start to see any results. As there are no EPA or DNR mandated or recommended lake-use restrictions for this product, we did not need to post notices on piers. We will be taking more water samples over the next few weeks and to ensure the proper level of chemical has been applied. The board members approved releasing the first payment for the weed treatment to Marine Biochemists. More details are found on the Project page of ldld.org.
ANNUAL MEETING: The annual Lake Denoon Lake District meeting is scheduled for August 26, 2019 at Muskego City Hall. Please mark your calendars. We will review the weed abatement results, budget and options for future lake water management.
NEW BUSINESS:
Amann property: The Amann's project is underway with lots for sale and a spec home under construction. The single parcel was sub-divided into three water lots and three off-water lots (with no deeded access). Only lots with access rights will be included in the Water District.
Waters of Lake Denoon - New subdivision: No update on the West-End project. Just need to monitor to ensure projects all go as planned especially with regard to erosion control.
ADJOURN: Kevin Kubacki motioned to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Jeff Jones and all approved. The meeting concluded at approximately 6:50.
Respectfully submitted,
Kathy Schauer
Secretary - Lake Denoon Lake District
